The permission to move to Phase Three from the Governor’s office comes with detailed precautions and operational restrictions published by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. For a full list of their safety guidelines, please review their Phase III Golf Operational Restrictions.

With the new guidelines we will also be changing our policies. Below, you will find the updated Stonehenge Golf Club policy changes that will go into effect on Friday, May 29, 2020. Please read this document in its entirety. All members will be responsible for understanding their responsibilities.

Course Policy Changes – Effective May 29, 2020

In an effort to confirm with the latest guidance, the following policy changes are effective Friday, May 29, 2020. If and when new guidance is issued, these rules will be amended to reflect any required revisions.

GUESTS ALLOWED: Per current policy, each member can bring up to 3 guests. As always, members are responsible for ensuring their guests follow safety and course rules at all times.

18 HOLE PLAY: The course will resume 18-hole play, and all play will begin on the 1st hole.

ALL TEE TIMES MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE OF PLAY: This includes weekdays, weekends, and twilight play.

Tee time reservations must be made by phone. Call the clubhouse at 847.381.8600 to book your tee time. We will accept tee time bookings up to ONE week in advance of play. Phone bookings will be accepted between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm.

  • To be able to offer a touch-free payment process, please be prepared to provide a valid credit card number at the time of your booking if you have not previously provided us with a credit card for your profile.
  • Groups less than a foursome may be grouped with other players.
  • Do not be late for your tee time. Be ready to go when it is your time to tee off. Check in outside the clubhouse 10 minutes before your tee time.

RIDING GOLF CARTS: We will have a limited number of riding carts available. We will only be able to reserve 12 carts an hour. A cart request must be made when making a reservation; if you do not request a cart at the time of your reservation, we cannot guarantee one will be available for you at your tee time.

Cart availability may be a limitation when making a reservation; thus, we are giving members the ability to reserve carts FOR MEMBERS ONLY for an extra 3 days ahead of the any guests. In all cases, carts will be available on a first requested basis.

  • A member who wishes to request a cart for themselves may request a cart up to 7 days before their tee time, up to the day of, subject to availability.
  • A member who wishes to play golf with a guest who needs a riding cart may book and reserve a cart for their guest 4 days in advance, up to the day of, subject to availability.Example: Member Ty Webb wants to reserve a tee time for himself and two guests, and all three players require riding carts. Ty calls on Tuesday, May 26th for a tee time on Tuesday, June 2nd. Ty may request a cart for himself any day from May 26th until his tee time on June 2nd. He may request riding carts on behalf of his guests from May 29th through his tee time on June 2nd.

CART FEES FOR A SINGLE HAVE BEEN CHANGED: A single rider cart will now be $20 for 18 holes. A couple that can ride together the fee is still $32.

PULL CARTS: Only privately-owned pull carts may be used. Rental of pull carts from the course will not be allowed.

FACILITIES & AMENITIES

CLUBHOUSE: The Clubhouse will continue to be closed to the public. Customers waiting to tee off must wait outside.

  • Food & Beverage Availability is being evaluated; additional updates will be shared in the coming days.
  • The Clubhouse locker rooms & restrooms will not be available.
    • Portalets will be available on the course at 6 tee (near the parking lot), behind the clubhouse, and also at 14 tee (near the maintenance building).
    • Portalets will be cleaned and sanitized regularly; Please use at your own risk.

OUTDOOR AREAS:

  • The gazebo will be closed to the public.
  • Water coolers, bunker rakes, ball washers, and benches have been removed.
  • Reminder: Flags must stay in the hole.

PUTTING GREEN: Only 5 people will be allowed on the putting green at any one time.

DRIVING RANGE: Only 3 people will be allowed on the driving range at any one time, and range time will be limited to one hour. If you are interested in using the driving range, please call the clubhouse to book an hour.

WEATHER DELAYS & COURSE CLOSURES

  • If you feel the weather may impact your play, please call to reschedule or cancel a reservation.
  • Course closure or delays will be posted on the website.
    • In the event of a frost or a rain delay: Affected tee times are canceled. Please call to rebook based on availability.
    • Rain checks will be issued for course closures only based on current policy.

PLAYER SAFETY RESTRICTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Do not come to the golf course if you or a family member are ill
    • Any players with any symptoms of COVID-19 should not play.
    • Those from a household with someone with symptoms of COVID-19 should not play.
  • Practice Social Distancing at all times
    • Insist on social distancing around the clubhouse and on throughout the course.
    • Maintain adequate physical distancing between other twosomes.
  • Bring your own supplies
    • Please bring your own supply of balls, tees, ball markers, and any other equipment needed to play golf.
    • Bring your own water/sports drink, towel, and snacks.
  • Player Etiquette
    • Do not be late for your tee time; Be ready to go when it is your time to tee off.
    • Customers waiting to tee off must wait outside.
    • Handle your own scorecard.
    • Golfers should pick up their own ball.
    • Leave the flag in place while putting.
    • Sort out the sand in the bunker with a club; rakes will not be provided.
    • Put on/take off your golf shoes at your vehicle.
    • Bring hand sanitizer with you to use.
    • No handshakes allowed.
    • Please be patient with and respectful to all; we are all in this together.
